uPVC Spraying in Edinburgh

Edinburgh splits neatly into two jobs for us. In the New Town, Stockbridge, Marchmont and Bruntsfield, most street-facing windows are timber sash-and-case under conservation control, so uPVC work tends to sit at the rear: kitchen extensions, patio doors, rear dormers and stair windows. Colour choice there leans conservative, and matching an existing dark grey or heritage cream on a rear elevation is the common brief.

The bigger volume sits in the suburbs. Corstorphine, Colinton, Morningside, Liberton and the Barnton and Cramond belt are full of 1930s bungalows and post-war semis where the original frames were swapped for white uPVC two or three decades ago. Those frames are sound but tired, and a full respray in anthracite or a dark heritage green modernises the whole elevation for a fraction of a replacement quote. Newer developments out toward South Gyle and Newcraighall bring conservatories and grey-and-white mixes that need matching rather than changing.

Edinburgh's east-coast weather is drier than Glasgow's but harder on east-facing elevations for wind-driven grit, so prep and keying matter more than people expect. We travel through weekly, which means surveys can usually be grouped with other Edinburgh visits.
